Welcome to the Dream Centre, the heart of Love Howick’s mission to drive socio-economic transformation through skills, dignity, and meaningful employment. We are more than a training facility—we are a beacon of hope, a bridge to opportunity, and a community of believers in every individual’s potential. This Centre houses our professional skills courses, including Work Ready, Micro Business, Computer Literacy, Office Admin, Hospitality, Baking & Catering, Barista, Sewing, Retail, Beauty, Crop Production, Animal Production, First Aid, Home-Based Care, and Graphic Design. This ecosystem of theoretical and practical training, student counselling and mentorship, a job centre to help bridge the gap between employers and prospective recruits, and a special focus on ‘giving back’ through volunteer hours; creates a pathway for the unemployed to develop their potential.

What We Offer

Our comprehensive courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical training, ensuring that students are well-equipped to thrive in their chosen fields. Here’s a glimpse of what we provide:

Work Ready: Develops essential workplace skills, from professionalism to emotional intelligence, and teaches students how to navigate the job market with confidence.
Computer Literacy: Master the basics of computers, Microsoft Office, file management, and internet skills to stay competitive in today’s digital world.
Office Admin: Gain expertise in office responsibilities, communication, data capturing, and organisational skills to excel in administrative roles.
Hospitality (Hotel & BnB): From food hygiene and kitchen safety to menu planning and event coordination, learn the art of creating memorable culinary experiences.
Beauty: Nails: Explore the world of beauty and grooming, mastering techniques in nail care.
Crop Production: Dive into the essentials of agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
Animal Production
First Aid & Homebased Care: Learn life-saving skills and compassionate caregiving to make a difference in your community.
Graphic Design Basics: Discover the fundamentals of design, branding, and visual communication to unleash your creativity.
Barista: Learn the art of coffee-making, from brewing techniques to latte art, and gain skills in operating espresso machines, understanding coffee beans, and providing excellent customer service in a café setting.
Sewing: Master industrial and domestic machine sewing, basic pattern cutting, and garment construction. This course covers essential skills for creating and repairing clothing and other fabric items.
Retail: Develop key retail skills, including customer service, merchandising, till operations, and retail health & safety. Perfect for those looking to start or advance a career in the retail industry.
Micro Business

Our Three-Phase Pathway to Success

We don’t just offer courses—we offer a proven journey from unemployment to empowerment:

  1. PHASE 1: WORK READY
    This foundational one-month course instills the soft skills and professional character needed in any workplace: integrity, communication, time management, financial literacy, CV writing, and interview skills. Graduates don’t just leave job-ready—they leave as community-conscious individuals.

  2. PHASE 2: PROFESSIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
    Tailored to local employer needs, our short courses provide hands-on training in high-demand fields. From Computer Literacy and Barista Training to Graphic Design and Home-Based Care, we equip students with specific, market-relevant skills.

  3. PHASE 3: JOB CENTRE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
    Our support doesn’t end at graduation. Our Job Centre actively connects our top graduates (Silver & Gold certificate holders) with local businesses. For those with an entrepreneurial spark, our Entrepreneurship 101 course and mentorship masterclasses provide the toolkit to launch and grow their own businesses.

    Your donation directly funds education. For just R950, you can sponsor one person through our life-changing Work Ready Program. Larger sponsorships can cover equipment, facilities, or an entire course cohort.

  • Host In-Service Training: Provide real-world experience for our students.
  • Hire from our Job Centre: Access pre-vetted, well-trained candidates for entry-level roles. Apply here.

Terms & Conditions

By enrolling in a Love Howick Dream Centre course, you agree:
1. Courses require a minimum number of students to proceed; start dates may be postponed until this is met. Full payment secures your place.
2. Refunds: If we cancel/postpone a course, you’ll receive a full tuition refund (provided documents are submitted).
If you withdraw, the application fee is non-refundable, but tuition fees will be returned if cancelled 7 days before the confirmed start date
